Polaroid sunglasses give you 100% UV400 protection
Not all sunglasses offer UV protection. Like polarization, it’s something you need to check carefully before you buy. Both are important. 98.7% of the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the earth’s surface is UVA, and occurs up to 400nm. But many sunglasses only provide protection up to the 380nm level. UltraSight™ lenses are used in every pair of Polaroid® polarized sunglasses – and they’re different. These lenses protect wearers up to the highest UV exposure level. That’s 100% protection from UVA, UVB and UVC rays. UltraSight™ exceeds all international requirements for UV protection and offers both medical and cosmetic benefits. UltraSight™ lenses support good eye health. From preventing cataracts to protecting the eyelid from skin cancer, our sunglasses limit the risks of UV exposure. They also perform well in scientific tests into the prevention and treatment of eye health issues.

Protection across the spectrum
Polaroid is committed to protecting people from the avoidable danger of UV eye damage. We provide sunglasses with the highest UV protection, in line with research that concludes 400 nm covers the whole cancer-causing spectrum. UltraSight™ lenses support good eye health. From preventing cataracts to protecting the eyelid from skin cancer, our sunglasses limit the risks of UV exposure.

UV protection for children
Protecting children’s eyes is especially important. With their larger pupils and clearer lens and fluids, children are even more at risk from damage caused by dangerous UV rays.
